"At our annual Web Awards Show the winners are announced and presented with trophies. We feel that it is essential to honour these individuals and companies as being technological entrepreneurs, important agents of free expression and cultural change, and innovators in queer media and entertainment.
Sites are nominated on the basis of how well they fulfil their advertised missions, and for their usefulness, design, and uniqueness. You, the Web surfer, vote for your favourite sites in any number of categories. You choose and determine the winners. When voting, we encourage you to use your own subjective criteria in making your decisions, thus enabling you to send a clear message to webmasters and website developers that you may want more of some things and less of others. There are several categories that reflect the adult side of the Web. If you are not comfortable with adult material, please skip those categories and vote in the ones that you enjoy, because every ballot counts!"
