With the Pride season well and truly upon us, a fab new exhibition has opened in London
celebrating three decades of Pride.
Decent Exposure - 30 Years of Pride is a stunning exhibition that does indeed celebrate 30 glorious years. Sponsored by Digital Print Factory, this unique collection of photographic memories, ranging from the sublime to the ridiculous, capture those placard wielding, hip-swinging, hand-holding, lip-synching crowd waving, dodgem riding, fierce dancin', high-healed 'n' bare-assed moments that have made Pride so damn special for three decades. And with these remarkable photographs, more than 70 of them, all enlarged and beautifully printed on canvas by Digital Print Factory, the images have never looked more striking, more vibrant; more proud.
Readers of many gay publications were asked to submit their favourite Pride photographs for consideration; to send organisers Prowler an image that perfectly captured that moment of Pride.
From Pride's first mincing steps to its high kicking present day you'll have to admit we've come a long way baby!
Decent Exposure - 30 Years of Pride - is on until Thursday 24th July in the beautiful new Community Rooms and Gallery Space in Prowler King's Cross, 9 Caledonian Road, London N1. Admission is free.
