Amongst the host of films showing at the London Lesbian and Gay Film Festival sponsored
by OutUK, Webcam Boys is one short which looks particularly interesting.
This is a documentary which looks at some of the men in America who live ‘on cam’
for the satisfaction of others.

Among the participants are KIP, pictured above, a young blonde surfer with an insatiable sexual appetite
who allows the filmmakers to follow him to an internet sex convention in New Orleans,
PIERRE, a young French Canadian preoccupied with his body and working out, DAD, an
older ex porn star working through his issues of molestation, CODY & CORY, two
brothers who live together in a sexual relationship and are currently battling drug
addiction, ZACH, a young bisexual man whose past still haunts him and a pregnant
girlfriend who becomes the cause of his downfall, MATT, a male prostitute who has a
hobby of collecting pet mice and film memorabilia, DINO, an aging porn star desperately
trying to rekindle his career as a legitimate stage actor, and finally RICK & JEREMY, a
couple who have moved in together after one comes out of the closet and leaves his
girlfriend.
Webcam Boys has been made by four film-makers who share the production and direction
credits Ant, a stand-up comedian and actor, Perry Dance, an award-winning tv comedy writer and producer, Jim Dobson a showbiz PR whose clients have included
Roseanne, Kirstie Alley and Robert Downey Jr., and producer Bob Read.
In the film cameras follow each individual through their daily activities whether it is eating,
working out or having sex plus there are candid interviews much in the style of 101 Rent Boys
shown at last year's Festival and recently broadcast on Channel 4. If you enjoy
surfing webcam sites, Webcam Boys is one film you won't want to miss.
Webcam Boys is showing in NFT 1 on April 15 and NFT 3 on April 16. More
