"I like to be able to be very close to different subjects for 3-6 month and to
document their life. To define them as individuals and be able to capture the
diversity and the uniqueness in each one of them"

Photographer Kobi Israel was born in Israel in 1970 but now lives and works in London.
He's been an El Al flight attendant, has studied cinema in Tel Aviv and New York and
now works as a freelance. He's been telling us about his photography and we feature some
examples from his work 'The Male Body' and 'Being A Soldier'.

"I’m very curious about life, about people and their thoughts and feelings. The camera
is the most instant and intuitive tool of our times to immortalise moments and feelings.
The real challenge for me is to try and capture ‘the inside’ rather than ‘the outside’."
