Now you've chosen your favourite British lads of 2006, we're going to step up a

Sean Faris
Is it any wonder we’re head over heels obsessed with a guy who got his start starring in
director David DeCoteau’s very homoerotic The Brotherhood II? Though Sean Faris is something
of a Tom Cruise sequel, we won’t hold that against him. Besides, he’s got the pint sized
stud by four inches—you can figure out which four.
Sean first saw his star rise when he top-lined the short lived but critically acclaimed
coming of age drama life as we know it. That role, as well as guest spots on shows like
Boston Public, One Tree Hill and Smallville, launched him into the public eye and made him
a staple in teen girl publications too. Hollywood sat up and took notice too,
presenting him with a Young Hollywood Star of Tomorrow award in 2004.
Reunion followed, his short lived series that tracked six friends from their
high-school graduation through the next twenty years of their lives. Seemingly unscathed
after his second botched TV project, Sean segued right
into the remake Yours, Mine and Ours, then headed off to the deserts of Utah
to train for the upcoming
rugby drama, Forever Strong. To prep for the part, Sean supposedly ran six miles, two
times a day—and here’s hoping all that work translates into some shirtless shots.
Which brings us to the precise reason Sean wound up on our countdown in the first
place—back to back shirtless spreads in US gay magazines Flaunt and Out.
Sexy and sophisticated, we sat up and took notice, and another gay crush was born.
